Margherita di Savoia

Sea and good food in the venue of the Pink Flamingo

Margherita di Savoia has about 13,000 inhabitants and in summer, thanks to its 20 km of splendid sandy coast and 70 bathhouse, it becomes one of the main and best-equipped tourist centres in Puglia.

The place for its wonderful beach, its clear and unpolluted sea, its crisp and iodine-rich air, its mild temperature all year round, its saltpans, the largest in Europe, its wetland among the most important in the Mediterranean.

The salt pans of Margherita di Savoia, the largest in Europe, represent a naturalistic heritage of inestimable value; in fact, the wetland is populated by an infinite number of birds including avocets, herons, black winged stilt but above all the pink flamingos wich turn the saltpan into a triumph of colours and beauty.

A state-of-the-art spa makes the town a suitable place for health and beauty care.
